Colorado Chapter 81 was founded by Frank Nichols, Tom Hallin, Brad Gaylord, Don Allen, and friends in 1962. Bylaws were adopted in 1963,and revised many times since. We were incorporated as non-profit in 1974. The first year there were 15 to 20 members, with membership growing to 36 by 1968. In the 1980's, membership hit its peak of 800+.
Sixty-Two years after its inception, the Chapter is growing again with nearly 400 members.
Our current President Roger Harris is the 35th president. Many presidents have served multiple terms. We appreciate the dedicated effort of all of the Chapters presidents, board officers, and volunteers both past and present.
