Buyer-Garlock Sealing Prods., Wheatridge, CO
GENERAL NATURE OF JOB:
To manage and develop a supply chain capable of meeting the Companies needs. To procure raw materials, services, contracting activities, expense items and other goods or services as required by the Company.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Establish supply systems for operations that support operational objectives.
- Negotiate pricing and other commercial terms with Garlock suppliers.
- Investigate local, national and global market conditions and suggest supply options for goods and services.
- Develop a waste-free supply method that minimizes total cost of ownership.
- Negotiate Year/Year cost savings according to the savings targets established by the Company.
- Document progress in all cost and performance transactions of the supply base.
- Create necessary contract, purchase orders and agreements as necessary.
- Seek and suggest cost savings measures.
- Assist operations personnel in resolving any supply chain issues.
- Review supplier sites as necessary.
- Assist other Garlock sites as needed.
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Responsible for maintaining controls related to Sarbanes-Oxley.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
1. Three years experience in supply chain position with responsibility for negotiation and supply chain logistics
2. Computer skills including Word, Excel, Access, Outlook. Oracle experience beneficial.
3. Strong skills in negotiations and spoken and written communication.
4. Understanding of Lean concepts and their application to a supply chain.
5. Basic knowledge of statistics and a strong math aptitude.
6. Strong project management skills.
WORKING CONDITIONS: Office setting. Some travel required.

Production Control Engineer-Broomfield
Allen Company is a leading supplier of outdoor products, specializing in the hunting and shooting sports industries. We are currently looking for a Production Control Engineer to join our team in Broomfield, Colorado. The Production Control Engineer will manage all materials and products that are produced in manufacturing.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Setup, maintain, manage, and oversee SKU management
- Setup and maintain item master list and item set up detail and processes
- Maintains specified records, files and documentation pertaining to each SKU
- Responsible for revision control documentation
- Responsible for the setup and maintenance of MOM, BOO, BOM’s for Epicor integration
- Responsible for quoting manufactured items for internal Product Development team
- Coordinate projects between Product Development and Sales & Manufacturing to support Made in USA initiatives
- Assist in the development & establishment of production and quality standards
- Responsible for quality control in manufacturing and quality of inbound receipts
- Conduct Time Studies throughout plant as necessary
- Creates, modifies, and reviews process control details relating to new products or product design changes
- Tests cost reduction ideas to ensure no compromises are made in product/process quality, safety or workability
- Assist in evaluating and analyzing costs and techniques of new concepts for manufacturing processes
- Promote a safety oriented culture
- Performs other related duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- High emphasis is placed upon problem solving skills and project management skills, possessing a pro-active attitude, and high attention to detail
- Requires the ability to maintain specified records, files and logs, compile data and prepare reports, summaries, flow charts and spread sheets
- Ability to work well with others in a team environment
- Ability to manage multiple projects at any given time
- Understanding of cut and sew manufacturing and ability to quickly learn the cut & sew environment
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing
- Epicor experience a plus
Minimum Qualifications:
- BS Degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology or a related discipline
- 2+ years working in a manufacturing setting
- Possess a positive, can do attitude
- Must be a motivated self-starter
- Excellent communication both written and verbal
- Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and commitments
- Strong analytical, problem solving and troubleshooting skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and ERP systems
Work Environment
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Regularly required to sit, stand, reach, bend and move about the facility
- Usual warehouse and manufacturing conditions exist such as dust, lighting, noise and temperature

Job Description
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Complies with established job safety practices, policies and procedures as specified in plant and corporate directives for the safe performance of the work assignment.
- Supports development, implementation, maintenance, and ongoing improvement of the food safety system.
- Serves as front line liaison between plant operations and customer operations regarding daily, weekly, and monthly requirements and associated issues. These issues include, but are not limited to, customer requirements, notices of complaint, and changes in customer demand.
- Generates accurate and timely on-line forecasts in conjunction with the various sales regions. These forecasts are the basis for the entire planning and control cycle.
- Accountable for maintaining proper levels and turnover of inventory for individual area of responsibility.
- Creates daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules to meet forecasted demand.
- Creates and administers necessary documents required for the on-line handling of customer requirements.
- Responsible for accurate and timely input of all inventory related transactions.
- Responsible for plant associated bill of material accuracy.
- Accountable for the identification, disposition, and necessary follow-up of slow moving, aged, and/or surplus inventories.
- Plays a key role in the achievement of plant and corporate production planning and control goals.
- Serves as backup on all duties of production control management in the event of absence.
- May provide training to others on an as needed basis.
- While the regular working cycle of this position is usually 5 days on (Monday-Friday), this job may include working weekends (Saturday and Sunday), working hours may vary as specified by management. Incumbent must be able to work overtime on a regular basis and/or be on call as directed by management.
Requirements:
- Broad training in a related field usually acquired through high school education or equivalent.
- Job related experience for 2 years minimum.
- Working knowledge of the following areas: company manufacturing products, practices, nomenclature, procedures, and policies; customer needs and requirements, production control principles and practices.
- Ability to apply independent evaluation, selection, and substantial adaptation and modification of standard production planning techniques, procedures, and criteria.
- Must be able to handle sensitive related and proprietary information in a confidential manner.
- Performs such individual assignments as management may direct.
- Must follow company policies, procedures, practices, and standards of conduct as outlined in the Ball
- Corporation manuals.
- Ability to negotiate with customers to promote or sell ideas or concepts.
- Ability to negotiate with vendors.
