Buyer/Planner-Louisville
We are currently seeking an experienced Buyer Planner to join our team in Louisville, Colorado. About us: We are a small, close knit startup company needing additional buyer/planner capacity to ramp up production. This is an excellent opportunity to get in on the ground floor with this line of new products and this new business. We have a hands on environment with lots of opportunity for someone with drive, initiative, and willing to help guide this business thru our growth phase. Job Responsibilities:
- Plans and coordinates the production schedule and inventory in support of customer demand with the required Operations organizations.
- Sets priorities for the facility based on customer demand, and launches work/purchase orders in support of the production plan. Expedites where appropriate.
- Plans and purchases the required materials, components, and MRO purchases in support of the production plan and facility.
- Continually assesses the supply base performance for cost, quality, and delivery metrics and initiates required actions thru constructive relationships with new and existing suppliers.
- Manages and plans required inventory strategies in support of the business plans.
- Manages inbound logistics costs.
- Maintains current and accurate purchasing, BOM and production data in the enterprise software (ERP) to facilitate smooth production and procurement processes.
- Develops and documents written procedures for work processes and keeps current.
- Applies sound inventory management practices to balance working capital needs with customer service levels.
- Interfaces with the various internal customers such as Manufacturing, Shipping/Receiving, Engineering, and Finance to assure optimized costs and rationalize make/buy decisions.
- Special projects as may be assigned.
Requirements
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, or related fields.
- Certification or participation in one or more of the following programs such as APICS, or CPIM, or CSCP preferable.
- 5 years minimum experience in a similar buying and planning role:
- Knowledge and experience using ERP in a manufacturing environment, Epicor experience preferred.
- Knowledge and experience in a machining, fabrication, and assembly environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products.
- Interpersonal:
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Effective at influencing others without a direct reporting relationship.
- Strong analytical, planning, and organization skills.
- Self-starter with ability to work independently under pressure and react quickly to changing priorities.

Logistics Manager
Description:
Restaurant Chain seeks a Logistics Manager to oversee the movement, distribution and storage of materials in the organization. This Manager will control the continuity of product supply from supplier to distribution centers to restaurants to ensure restaurants receive products on time. Control of dead or slow moving inventory, SKU reduction and management of out-of-stock situations will also be key responsibilities. This individual will coordinate all test product purchases and oversight of the new item introduction process ensuring all products are in the DC prior to the targeted roll out. This position reports to the VP of Supply Chain and is based in WY.
Requirements:
Qualified individuals must have experience in logistics and supply chain management within the restaurant industry. Excellent verbal and written communication skills along with strong interpersonal capabilities will be essential to manage distribution issues with individual restaurants. Qualified individuals must also have the ability to act quickly and decisively to resolve problems. A Bachelor’s degree is preferred.

Restaurant Chain seeks a Buyer to effectively manage their procurement process and related programs with continual focus on product quality and financial improvement. This individual will be responsible for sourcing, analyzing and negotiating prices on a variety of products and services that meet the company’s criteria for quality and company procedures. The Buyer will guarantee adequate inventory levels of assigned products are met, source suppliers that meet company requirements, assist in the negotiations with approved suppliers and communicating with operations teams to identify and solve problems. This supportive role will also ensure continuous availability of the highest quality product at the lowest possible cost resulting in direct and measurable contributions to company sales and profitability. This position reports to the VP of Supply Chain and is based in WY.
Requirements:
Qualified individuals must maintain a keen awareness of market trends and commodities, knowledge of business and purchasing practices and the ability to plan, organize, direct and control all facets of the procurement process. Strong organizational skills as well as excellent communication and contract negotiation skills are a must. Candidates must have multiple years’ experience in corporate purchasing within a multi-unit, multi-state foodservice or restaurant company in both commodity and non-commodity markets. Company desires an individual who is action oriented and takes ownership of projects but who can also be flexible as responsibilities and priorities change. A Bachelor’s degree and CPM certification is preferred.

Job Description
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Manages the manufacturing planning and control function.
- Manages distribution plan in order to minimize out of pattern freight.
- Schedules production or products and labels as necessary to fulfill customer requirements, meet shipping schedules, and maintain appropriate inventory levels.
- Manages inventory categories to ensure appropriate levels are maintained across categories
- Monitors and ensures adequate supply and/or return of appropriate packaging material for finished goods.
- Monitors plant warehouse capacity and proactively takes action to resolve overcapacity situations
- Facilitates all commercial issues, such as credit, new graphics, manufacturing location and timing, transportation, and assists with any quality issue resolution.
- Serves as a focal point for customers, metal beverage plants, and sales staff to resolve issues related to deliveries, quality, graphics, inventories, packaging needs, and packaging returns.
- Initiates the resolution of slow moving and obsolete inventory issues with accounts.
- Master Data Management to support ERP system output and S&OP process
- Provide feedback to the S&OP process to ensure quality data is available to support the process
Requirements:
- Broad training in a related field acquired through college level education or work related experience.
- Job related experience for a minimum of 3 years.
- Ability to apply intensive and diversified evaluation, selection, and substantial adaptation and modification of standard plant production control/manufacturing techniques, procedures, and criteria.
- Working knowledge of the following areas: business principles, legal practices, customer needs and expectations, production control practices and principles, and generally accepted managerial practices and procedures. Computer skills, graphics processes, cost accounting principles, financial analysis, manufacturing processes, beverage filling operations, and transportation methods.
- Must be able to handle sensitive related and proprietary information in a confidential manner.
- Knowledge of JD Edwards E9, Oracle SNO and ASCP applications preferred.
Travel: This position requires up to 20% travel.
