SUMMARY:
AGC Biologics is looking for Director of Supply Chain Management to oversee all aspects of purchasing, production planning, inventory control, shipping and receiving. This is an exciting opportunity to develop and execute a comprehensive supply chain strategy that will allow the site to cost effectively scale the business while meeting internal and external customer service commitments.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Direct activities of all functions involved in purchasing, planning, warehousing and control of materials in a cGMP biologics manufacturing facility from the receipt of forecasting replenishment needs to the delivery of the finished product into finished goods inventory and delivery of products
- Implement a fully functional supply chain management/production control infrastructure in order to effectively manage logistics and resources across a distributed workforce
- Maintain accountability, establishing processes and controls for accurate inventory counts at all times
- Source, develop, and maintain vendor relationships including those providing alternative sources of repair or supply
- Establish performance metrics and benchmarks related to supply chain planning and replenishment processes
- Oversee strategic and day-to-day purchasing activity
- Ensure efficient and compliant shipping activities
- Implement a balanced scorecard that encompasses Both operational and financial metrics
- Develop and manage departmental budgets accordingly
- Application of Lean and other methodologies to drive cross functional SCM-related process improvement, attainment indicators would include inventory turns, inventory valuation, expiry costs, out of stock, departmental budget, development of personnel, and a safe work environment
- Coaching and mentoring of staff in maintaining excellence on GMP, quality control, and safety
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

General Description:

Supply Chain Manager Distribution Center Processing

Purpose
Under the general supervision of the Director of Supply Chain, this employee is responsible for Management of all 3rd party Infused Product purchasing, planning and inventory control of these products for the LivWell Distribution Center (LDC) and retail stores. This employee will manage the procurement and track all infused products within the company’s guidelines, as well as state government compliance. The Supply Chain Manager – Infused Products is both an employee manager and individual contributor position dedicated to planning, purchasing and tracking inventory through daily audits and will collaborate with the Director of Supply Chain and key stakeholders to establish and implement policies and procedures while adhering to company and state regulations.
Essential Duties
Purchasing, Inventory Planning and Control
- Effective management of supplier/customer communication to ensure proper inventory levels, on time shipment and delivery of products.
- Manage the reporting of inventory surplus, product returns, and any damage goods.
- Manage, track, create and report key functional metrics, identify trends and address opportunities and issues.
- Proactively and consistently work to reduce expenses and improve operational effectiveness.
- Establish inventory control methods, including purchase orders, min/max and usage reports.
- Manage proper replenishment of inventory in the LDC and all retail locations.
- Forecast, plan and purchase products for specific products based on replenishment or demand.
- Utilize ERP knowledge and systems as they relate to complex product scheduling and planning.

- Coordinate purchase confirmation, shipment notices and track orders/deliveries.

Compliance and Reporting

- Ensure workflow and work procedures have properly documented in SOP’s, and appropriate controls and audits are in place to ensure data and process integrity.

Supply Chain – Distribution Manager

Purpose
Under the direct supervision of the Director of Supply Chain, the Distribution Manager is responsible for coordination, planning, execution and oversight of all daily activities in regards to order fulfillment for all LivWell Retail locations, Wholesale Customers, and inbound receiving of bulk wholesale flower shipments to the LivWell Distribution Center. Additionally, this position also oversees the distribution of all inventory that has been procured through the Supply Chain department. This individual is responsible for the oversight of departmental files, records, price controls, vendor sourcing, order placement, inventories controls, receiving, and deliveries. This position interfaces with the Retail Staff as well as External Vendors on a regular and proactive basis to source goods and materials. Collaborates with Supply Chain team and creates replenishment requests and prepares purchase orders of 1st party product from satellite production locations.
Essential Duties
Purchase Order and Inventory Management
- Oversees the preparation of deliveries to stores
- Ensures efficient order planning, selection, and picking of all LivWell and Wholesale orders
- Monitors errors to ensure a 98% fillrate
- Daily monitoring of inventory at Grow, MIPS and Retail facilities
- Manages coordination of inventory requirements and procurement details with vendors and customers.
- Responsible for ordering 1st party product from satellite production facilities to bring into LDC.
- Create/submit purchase requisitions as needed in support of department operations.
- Forecasting and estimating potential stock requirements based on company demand.
- Tracking the transportation and distribution of inventory.

Security and Compliance
- Ensure compliance throughout operations with State and Federal Regulations

- Troubleshoot and resolve any distribution related errors
- Ensure allowable gram limits at retail locations are evaluated daily to assist in medicated replenishment.
Fleet Management
- Collaborate with Purchasing Department for maintenance of Fleet Vehicles
- Ensure proper driver training to ensure vehicles are operated as intended
- Collaborate with Director of Supply chain on additional vehicle purchases/expenses
- Monitor wear and tear on vehicles, repair any bodywork issues that arise
- Collaborate with Security and Compliance along with IT and Legal on Tracking solutions
Reporting and Analysis
- Conducts inventory auditing on a required basis.
