Manufacturing Planner-Sundyne Corporation
Materials Analyst-MFG Planner
Job Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day shop-floor planning of multiple cells within a machine shop.
- Includes both job-shop and Kan Ban environments.
- Utilize MRP and other tools to initiate work orders
- Responsible for quarterly analysis and sizing of Kanban parts.
- Satisfy service levels and inventory turns expectations for Kanban parts
- Support site delivery goals for spares and units
- Coordinate with cell supervisor to effectively manage over-time
- Give timely and accurate quotes for expedite and rework requests
- Coordinate with Manufacturing Engineering to expedite outstanding NCMs
- Coordinate with multiple departments to resolve issues impeding flow
- Manage receipt and stocking of raw materials, issuing and moving materials through the factory in their cells daily (up to 35 lbs.) Approximately 25-30% of each day
- Participate in cycle counts
- Manage responsibilities with minimal supervision
- Ability to lift 35 lbs.
- Ability to utilize a forklift as needed.
Education
B.S. in related field or 4 years equivalent work experience
APICS training, certification preferred
Experience/Qualifications
2-5 years planning experience in a manufacturing environment preferred. Candidate should have basic knowledge of mills and lathes. Previous experience with an ERP system would be helpful (J.D. Edwards preferred). Candidate should have strong Microsoft Word and Excel skills. Effective written and verbal communication skills are a must.
Candidate must be a self-starter, focused on results, organized, have a positive attitude and be extremely effective in working within a team environment.
