The Opportunity

As the company continues to grow we are seeking a Spares Planning Analyst. The Spare Parts Planning Analyst will be responsible for supply planning process improvements, planning master data setting optimization, reporting standardization & automation, and S&OP related activities for current spare parts as well as new product launches and product discontinuances.  This position requires a high level of analytical skills and reporting to support, improve and innovate business processes while effectively communicating to stakeholders.  The analyst will own processes that support the Ortho Care organization and Supply Chain organizations.

This position can be in Rochester, NY or Remote.

The Responsibilities

  • Responsible for analyzing supply requirements and developing an optimal plan to meet targeted service and inventory levels.   Global alignment and implementation will be critical.

  • Responsible for Supply planning master data setting review, optimization, and alignment (MOQs, Safety Stock, lead time, pricing, req accuracy, planning alerts, PO date accuracy).

  • Report management and automation.   

  • Inventory health oversight (PO push out / pull in, stock at risk, NPI & discontinuance transition).

  • Project support - recommended spare parts list process, FE surplus return process.

  • Perform other work related duties as assigned.

The Requirements

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree is required. A focused degree in Business, Supply Chain, or Operations is preferred. 

  • A minimum of 4-6+ years of related experience in supply chain or a related field is required.

  • Demonstrated supply chain planning experience, including demand planning, supply planning and inventory management.

  • Strong analytical skills are required, including the ability to manipulate and analyze data proficiently.   

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel and PowerPoint applications is required. 

  • In depth knowledge of manufacturing control systems (ERP – MXP/XELUS/SAP/APO)) and processes are preferred.

  • The candidate will have a great attention to detail and strong communication skills. 

  • APICS and Process Excellence tools, training, and certification are highly preferred. 

  • The candidate will be a self-starter with the ability to work independently and communicate clearly and concisely across all levels of the company and global functions.

  • Travel required domestic and/or international.

Responsible for generating and analyzing data to proactively identify disruptions in the Supply Chain (order placement, vendor/manufacturing pipeline, transportation/delivery, base stock, etc). The analyst will also monitor existing processes to maintain compliance, identify gaps, and work cross functionally to develop/implement root cause resolution to process and behavior. Analysis findings will be communicated through performance reports, Tableau dashboards, virtual/on-site meetings, email, and phone.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor supply chain planning practices to ensure adequate inventory is arriving at the right place at the right time.
  • Collaborate with field partners, distribution centers, project/program managers, and any other necessary functions of the business to align processes & expectations.
  • Understand supply and demand trends to develop improvement recommendations.
  • Audit master data respective to material movement, availability, quantities, orders, and deliveries.
  • Prepare/deliver reliable performance reports and create performance improvement plans for our business partners as needed.
  • Drive adherence and efficiency in all aspects of Supply Chain.
  • BA Degree in related field
  • 1-3 yrs experience in Supply Chain, Inventory Planning, or Logistics
  • Detail oriented, analytical, problem solver, with critical thinking and continuous improvement skills
  • Thorough understanding of Supply Chain and Inventory Planning
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office & Google suites

The Analyst Supply Chain has the overall responsibility for the coordination of all import/export logistics and inventory items for the Business Unit. This position coordinates all the activities to include; inventory ordering, import ordering, special projects, new initiatives/products, Holiday scheduling to insure efficient and effective import supply chain network meeting the needs of our customers.

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Execute day-to-day Order Desk purchasing and cubing activities in respective region. Break down orders for respective region by loading day.
  • Coordinates with all plants, suppliers, brokers, and departments to receive and distribute items being shipped. Assures orders are 100% accurately filled/distributed and that the schedule is maintained.
  • Restock inventories, manage distribution centers, and communicate in a timely manner with logistics providers (Logicorp/Progressive/NFI/Baker’s Express, etc.) and other supply chain partners (GCA/NFI, etc.) in the Region.
  • Report performance metrics maintain required KPIs, and service level metric reports in the Region and immediately escalate as needed.
  • Point person for all Import holiday scheduling, project management, new initiatives, while maintaining timely communication with Sales Sub Regions, Business Unit Support, Decision Support, PROMPT Planners, Sales Planners, and Marketing.
  • Identify and promote best practices for efficiency purposes.
  • Assure compliance with all Company policies and procedures. Become a leader in updating and streamlining processes and procedures.

Education and Work History:
