Buyer Expediter-Denver

Pelsue, the industry leader in manufacturing worker safety products and upfitter of vehicles for the telephone, utility and construction industries, has an outstanding opportunity in our Englewood facility on South Tejon Street for a Buyer Expediter. This position reports to the Materials Manager and is responsible for accurately tracking to ensure all materials on order are received on a timely basis to meet manufacturing production requirements.

Position Responsibilities:

• Works closely with vendors, receiving and accounting departments to resolve discrepancies on invoices, purchase orders, pack slips, etc.
• Proactive communicator with suppliers to monitor timely arrival of all purchased materials.
• Analyzes all orders for on time delivery; follows up with suppliers to confirm or revise delivery dates.
• Keeps Pelsue Buyer informed of delivery schedules and possible delays for weekly backlog meetings.
• Generates purchase orders and packets for Out Plant services.
• Ability to understand mechanical parts and replacement of parts is a real plus. Will be involved with all purchases that are used in our manufacturing process. Experience buying truck parts, fabrics, sheet metal a real plus!
• Has good understanding of production planning and scheduling, inventory reports and purchasing cost analysis.

Requirements:

• At least 1-2 years experience in buying, supply chain procedures and expediting purchase orders in a fast-paced, energetic manufacturing environment is required. Note: this is not a senior buyer position, but one that requires buying experience and can lead to solid career growth.
• Outstanding commitment to customer service and positive communications skills by consistently having a pleasant and positive attitude when working with vendors over the phone and internal team members.
• Has initiative to look for best pricing and volume discounts.
• Viewed as a solid, logical thinker with a positive attitude.
• Ability to effectively engage vendors on phone, faxed or emailed orders. Strong listening skills and attitude to always look for solving delivery problems. Has feeling of urgency to confirm reliability of delivery dates.
• Solid MS Office skills using Outlook, Word and Excel. Experience with inventory computer programs essential.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and meet necessary deadlines and follow-up with all departments within the Pelsue manufacturing process.
