The Manager, Materials Planning is responsible for leading MillerCoors materials planning team.   This is a key role in our supply chain, leading a team of 9 materials planning analysts in providing materials forecasts to our vendors, working with our breweries to ensure materials availability, and working with a variety of functions across the company, notably our commercial and innovation teams in the execution of innovation and packaging promotion initiatives.   Key objectives for this position include materials availability, materials obsolescence, and overall MillerCoors service metrics of fill rate and OOS.

 

  • Manages materials planning processes for MillerCoors existing and evolving supply chains
  • Collaborates with stakeholders across the supply chain including procurement, strategic vendors, breweries, commercial and innovation teams, planning and fulfillment teams
  • Responsible for both short term and long term materials planning, including MillerCoors production requirements, vendor inventory and production plans, inbound freight execution.
  • Coordinates the tactical issue resolution of materials issues, ensures brewery materials availability
  • Key materials include bottles, cans, ends, cartons, labels, and closures.
  • Significant involvement with innovation teams in the planning and execution of innovation and packaging promotional initiatives.
  • Effectively leads process change as our supply chain management processes and systems are transformed over the next 3 years, including the implementation of MRP systems and processes across the company.
  • Location preference is Milwaukee, but could be located in Golden

Preferred Qualifications

 

  • Bachelors degree or MBA in supply chain management or related discipline and 7-10 years of experience in operations planning and management
  • Expert knowledge and full understanding of materials planning, production scheduling, inventory planning, and transportation management.
  • Working knowledge of procurement, innovation and commercial planning, and project management processes.
  • Ability to analyze large volumes of information, evaluate and resolve complex issues in rapidly changing and often ambiguous environment.
  • Ability to develop and present new strategies that provide MillerCoors with competitive advantage in the marketplace through effective materials management strategies and processes.
  • Ability to understand the needs of the customer and develop product supply strategies that meet both customer and MillerCoors objectives.
  • Ability to quickly assess situations, identify root causes of issues, generate multiple solutions, make sound decisions, and effectively communicate at multiple organizational and functional levels across MillerCoors.
  • Ability to quickly build and develop effective working relationships across the organization.
  • Ability to operate at both strategic and tactical levels in the development of materials supply strategies and plans that operationalize MillerCoors long term business strategies and effectively meet day to day needs of MillerCoors and our customers.
  • Ability to communicate highly complex, technical and analytical issues in simple business terms to a wide variety of stakeholders across the enterprise.
