Planning Project Specialist
Location: Boulder, CO
The Project Specialist will be able to get a comprehensive view of the company due to the cross-functional nature of the position. The job will be appealing to a creative mind. All opportunities for improvement within the Planning Department but also departments with which planning interfaces can be explored. Since projects will be led by the person in this role, leadership qualities can be enhanced and explored.
Summary of Position:
The Planning Project Specialist functions as a coordinator for a variety of objectives and initiatives in the planning department. This is a cross-functional position which will require interfacing with all members of the planning team as well as multiple departments and management levels within the company. Primary responsibilities:
• Create and implement project plans for projects which are central to planning objectives; facilitate existing projects
• Work with Planning Manager to develop a departmental objective-fulfillment strategy
• Work with the Item Master Coordinator, Master Scheduler, Production Planner and Inventory Control Team to identify opportunities for process improvements – create strategies to implement these improvements
• Analyze and optimize the Planning Department family of Crystal reporting programs that is used to run analyses and to maintain our ERP system
• Lend expertise to optimizing both existing and new Excel spreadsheets and macros to aid in the efficient and accurate analysis of data and metrics within the department

· 1-3 years of experience in manufacturing, planning, engineering, or project management

Status: Full Time Exempt
Compensation: Salary + Bonus
