For our Denver corporate headquarters, we are seeking a Senior Manager, Supply Chain Planning. The Senior Manager, Supply Chain Planning is responsible for leading and developing a Team of Senior Supply Planners. Driving functional understanding of requirements and expectations for the Team, acting as the liaison between manufacturing and business, who are responsible for how to most efficiently leverage our network production capacity, while balancing and managing all facets of Leprino Foods Supply Chain, with the main objective of meeting all customer service and financial metrics. The overarching goal of this position is to lead a Team of Planners to efficiently plan and utilize our manufacturing capacities, to generate the most efficient production plan, supporting an optimal mix of inventory, in support of meeting all customer’s expectations by delivering orders on time with the lowest possible overhead costs.
Other responsibilities include: leading all portions of what is entailed in creation of the most efficient Master Production Schedule, that maximizes each Production Plants capabilities by minimizing production transitions, obsolete and excess inventory, while communicating and coordinating with all appropriate functions within the organization, supporting product life cycle management and the economical deployment of inventory into our distribution network. This position requires high level of adaptability, solid verbal, written communication skills and ability to influence indirectly. Successful candidates must be self-motivated, organized, resourceful problem solvers, capable of making logical decisions with partial information, in the best interest of the organization and on behalf of customer.
We Ask Of You To:
Leadership
- Communicates and engages with, Division/Department leadership, cross functional leadership, and initiative/project sponsorship to streamline transactional activities as they relate to production, inventory, orders and change management.
- Manages the Corporate Production Planning Team to assure production capacity being efficiently used and optimized.
- Planning deliverables are accurate, which includes measure of schedule attainment and adherence to the plan.
- Monitors Planning teams’ performance and works to implement training programs, systematic tools, and key leading indicators and metrics, that provide visibility to activities and monitor adherence to department budgets, policies and procedures.
- Through ongoing training, coaching and development of the team members and other Support departments to assure clarity around delivery of the most efficient and optimal production and logistics plan.
- Provides direction to production plant operations Team through clear and concise communication to ensure understanding of expectations, to gain commitment to meet company and departmental service objectives.
- Identifies and develops new systems, tools, Planning process improvements and new capabilities to improve Production Planning, distribution and delivery of ultimate delivery of customer service.
Production Planning & Logistics Management
- Ensures efficient use of Production Capacity, leading to optimal mix of finished goods inventory, that most efficiently and economically fulfills customer orders.
- Collaborates with the S&OP Team, Demand Planning and Deployment Manager, to ensure optimize the use of the Company’s production capacity, inventory and distribution storage network.
- Responsible for all activities within Planning function, supporting all internal production plant needs and requirements, through leadership and collaboration with all associated support groups.
- Ensures proper KPI reporting and by reviewing of Production Planning and all associated input / output of process at micro and macro levels.
- Creates and tracks Supply Chain Planner performance to assess; customer impact, distribution network use, financial performance, Production Plan accuracy, Inventory overage or obsolescence, out of age product and timely and accurate processing of transactions.
- Coordinates with the Business Process Manager to implement recommended systems and process improvements. Responsible for all change management associated with said improvements.
Customer Service
- Coordinates with Planning Team and Manufacturing, to make the order fulfillment process seamless and transparent, with little to no deviation from original purchase request, either direct from factories or through the utilization of 3PL providers, all in effort to maintain customer service levels at or above the outlined target.
- Coordinates with Planning Team responses to customer service issues as result of Planning, to ensure impact is resolved and systematic and sustainable corrective actions are deployed.
- Aligns with Manufacturing, Sales and Customer Service, to ensure clarity of expectations, fulfilling on obligations and meeting agreements and commitments of all customers (internal and external)
Financial
- Tracks and manages all inventory movements in and out of factories, to ensure compliance and adherence to documented warehouse utilization and inventory objectives.
- Through process and communication improvements, decreases the impact on warehouse utilization and warehouse efficiencies related to production Hold and Release, shipment and management & rotation of downgrade products.
- Validates the overall departmental spend as relates to inventory and distribution plan out of the production facilities, along with capturing and communicating all variances.
- Reviews and approves/rejects charges per monthly other adds related to over production, transitions and associated impact to Plant, Company and Logistics financials.

You Have (Mandatory Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering or related field or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of experience with a combination of Inventory Management, Production Planning, Warehouse operations and end-to-end supply chain management
- 2+ year of Supervisory / leadership experience.
At Leprino Foods, starting compensation for this role typically ranges between $102,610.00 and $ 123,131.00.
