Senior Contracts Specialist
What You’ll Do
- Recognized as BATC Contract expert with responsibility for interfacing with customer and industry experts.
- May task or mentor and guide junior-level administrators/analysts.
- Ensure that proposals and programs are compliant with regulatory requirements and conducted in accordance with BATC best practices.
- Responsible for the contractual business aspects of proposals and programs.
- Conduct contractual presentations for internal and external management and ensure contract information on programs is accurately entered into appropriate BATC business applications.
- Advise and consult to resolve business/contractual problems with program management, internal organizations, or customer representatives.
- Provide required information to Supply Chain and Program Management organizations.
- Conceive and develop solutions to contract acquisition life cycle issues through the application of professionally accepted business, contract techniques, practices and procedures.
- Review and interpret RFPs, RFIs, proposals, contracts, modifications and change orders; prepare the necessary review records and obtain necessary management approvals.
- Provide input regarding sales profit and profit accruals.
- Lead and direct negotiations; recommend and implement negotiation strategies and techniques.
- Provide required information to all functional departments as necessary.
- Direct the preparation and maintenance of required contract documentation in accordance with company procedures and generally accepted practices.
- Ensure that all business is conducted using the highest ethical standards and in compliance with all applicable laws, statutes, and regulations as well as company policies and directives.
- Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule in accordance with company policy.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the SBU/SSU and the Company. Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
- Perform other duties as necessary.
What You’ll Need
- BS/BA in a related field plus 12 or more years related experience.
- Each higher-level related degree, i.e., Master’s Degree or Ph.D., may substitute for two years of related experience. Two years of related experience may be substituted for each year of education. Degree must be from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department of Education.
- Active Secret clearance required.
Working Conditions
- Work is performed in an office environment.
- Travel and local commute between Ball campuses and other possible non-Ball locations may be required.

Compensation & Benefits
- HIRING SALARY RANGE: $118,500 - $163,500 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
