Minimum Qualifications
Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum 3 years of related work experience and 1-year of supervisory experience.
  • Experience in materials forecasting, job planning, and just in time material delivery and equipment transportation strongly preferred.
  • Experience in Continuous Improvement is preferred.
  • Any equivalent combination of certifications, education, or experience that provides the required skills, knowledge, and abilities for the position.

 


Licenses, Registration, and Certifications

  • Must possess Forklift Certification.
  • Must maintain a standard Colorado driver's license.
  • May require a Class B CDL.

 

Position Summary
Warehouse Crew Leader is responsible for subordinate warehouse workers in the receiving, inspecting, handling, classifying, storing, issuing, record keeping, and inventory control of warehouse stock, non-stock materials, tools, and equipment. Assist in determining stock levels and material requirements.

 

Supervisory Responsibilities
This position has formal supervisory responsibilities over other employees.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead, plan, and schedule work of personnel involved in the receiving, handling, inspecting, storing, and issuing of all warehouse stock, tools, equipment, and special construction materials.
  • Responsible for the maintenance of records related to the control and movement of stock. Inventory periodically, being responsible for discrepancies.
  • Train warehouse personnel in proper warehouse operations and procedures including work and storage methods, use of equipment, safety or operation, maintaining a clean and orderly working area, and a computerized inventory system.
  • Confer with users to determine unique specifications and unusual quantity requirements, and coordinate delivery and construction schedules.
  • Assist in the analysis of stock quality, and reject all material of improper specifications or inferior quality. Initiate records to ensure proper credit to the department.
  • Analyze stock trends to avoid stock-outs, and identify slow-moving and overstocked items before they become obsolete.
  • Analyze additions to warehouse stock for standard compliance and recommend cost-effective alternatives.
  • Operate and maintain equipment assigned to warehouse operations.
  • Perform related work as required.
