As an Inventory and Purchasing Specialist, you will support and enable the creation of next-generation equipment with meticulous attention to detail working cross-functionally with all roles and departments. You will work in a blended role supporting inventory, warehouse, production, and purchasing. This role will report directly to the operations manager, while working closely with the production, purchasing, engineering, and Inventory management team.

Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Work with department managers to determine purchasing requirements for production, engineering and office products
  • Input and maintain online database of all products
  • Perform inventory cycle counts, spot counts and month end reconciliation process
  • Research variances and authorize appropriate inventory adjustments
  • Review obsolescence on a monthly/quarterly basis
  • Conduct audits of inventory, adjustments and other metrics while supplying monthly reports of findings to management
  • Support production with light assembly, as needed

What you will do:

  • Learn and understand the ever-changing nuances of our business to identify and close gaps while supporting near and long term projects acting as a leader, working cross-functionally with all roles and departments
  • Working in a Material Requirements Planning systems with inventory management, lot control, and quality based software.
  • You will plan, initiate, and oversee execution of all elements of a project, managing and executing multiple projects in parallel.
  • Be able to pivot and re-prioritize as daily plans change, while communicating the cross-functional

impacts and expectations for both near-term and longer-term projects.

  • Assemble equipment as a core part of understanding the production floor and following standard operating procedures
  • Develop an incoming inspection process while verifying and inspecting the quality of incoming parts and supplies.
  • Conserve resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish results.
  • Read, interpret and follow basic blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings,

specifications, bills of materials, and other written instructions or procedures to
accurately assemble equipment and products.

  • Contribute to the team effort by stepping up to accomplish daily goals, as needed.

What you need to have:

  • B.S. Degree, with 3+ years of relevant experience in manufacturing
  • Supply chain certification is a plus
  • Manufacturing quality experience with the use of root cause analysis
  • Experienced and proficient in database management, analyzing and reporting data regarding inventory issues, results, trends and solutions
  • Must be detail oriented
  • Experience shipping and receiving, inventory management
  • Purchasing and buying to standards
  • Demonstrated proficiency in analyzing data, problem identification and resolution
  • Ability to generate clear/concise reports indicating key issues to

management/department leads

  • Positive safety management and quality focus
  • Self-directed ability to make judgment calls, prioritization, and decision making
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Competent computer skills
