What does this role look like?
The Business Systems Analyst will continuously work to solve critical business problems by drawing business insights from data through complex analysis, mining, and visualization. Apply functional knowledge to the design and customization of enterprise systems, client/server applications to meet the company's requirements and systems needs. The Business Systems Analyst will analyze, evaluate, modify, test, and assist with implementing enterprise-wide COTS/custom procurement systems. That may include supporting system upgrades, enhancements, or maintenance. This position will involve application support for both production operations and business applications.
Primary Responsibilities and Activities:
- Analyzes business requirements and translate into SAP HANA models for the analytics team to implement. This includes analysis of current needs, anticipation of future needs, and providing solutions that integrate well with the various business operations that will be a part of the analytics ecosystem.
- Designs and help implement SAP HANA based analytical solutions by working with engineers and architects on the SAP functional teams to address these business requirements. These may be integrated solutions to resolve highly complex analytical needs.
- Participates in all testing and troubleshooting of any implemented analytical solutions
- Work with management to identify key performance indicators that are tracked over time and across brands, and identify and report on leading indicators that quickly highlight areas of opportunity and risk
- Design standard models that provide enterprise and functional management with insights into various functional trends and statuses
- Partner with leadership to gain a deep understanding of the key underlying data in SAP & Non-SAP databases; work with leadership to close any data gaps
- Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of IT systems
- Provide Tier 2 problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems
- Manage the daily activities of configuration and operation of IT systems
- Manage the daily troubleshooting and maintenance of system interface documents (IDOCS)
- Provide assistance to users in accessing and using IT systems
- Provide Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution of problems
- Provide support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all of the relevant procurement systems
- Provide support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customer

- Service Central LM Space queue management
- Systems Release (SR) Testing and Validation

- Leading/Supporting GSCO/LM Space Initiatives
Basic Qualifications:
To be successful, you will need to possess these basic qualifications:
- Extensive SAP experience, ideally in a Supply Chain environment
- Excellent customer service, problem-solving skills, and enterprise mindset
- Demonstrated experience using performance metrics, applying data analysis techniques and action plans
- Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Suite
- Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Highly developed critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Possess excellent communication skills, both written, verbal, and presentation, to effectively communicate business cases to all levels of peers, suppliers, as well as program and executive management.
Desired Skills:
To be successful, ideally, you should also have:
- Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline (ideally Supply Chain Management), or equivalent experience/combined education, with 5 years of professional experience; or 3 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree.
- Should understand content, processes, and procedures associated with implementing enterprise applications.
- Should have experience writing functional requirements, develop test plans, and work with production support and production floor issues.
- Should have experience working with developers to ensure requirements are being met.
- Should be able to develop analysis backed by quantitative data that guide our strategic and operational objectives & key results.
- Should be able to identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data.
- Should be able to facilitate the development of organizational benchmarks of key performance indicators and other operating metrics to determine alignment of the department to the overall company’s key strategic initiatives.
- Should have good knowledge of Subcontract Administration and/or Material Procurement experience
- Should have good knowledge of FAR/DFAR requirements
- Should have prior work experience in the Aerospace & Defense industry
