Job Overview

Supervise all day to day Distribution activities by ensuring staffing resources are properly utilized, all Distribution Coordinators and personnel are properly trained on the ERP and physical process flow, communicate departmental updates, developments and/or concerns to management. 

Essential Responsibilities and Duties

• Partner with Distribution Leads to ensure employees are properly utilized and each department within Distribution is sufficiently staffed.
• Ensure employee compliance to protocols and standards.
• Train personnel in ERP system as needed.
• Develop and drive implementation of processes and procedures to increase the efficient processing of inventory, customer fulfillment, receiving, and shipping.
• Coach and develop Distribution team members to improve knowledge of technological infrastructure and ensure optimal systems usage and improve performance
• Seek out opportunities for process improvement, think through solutions and partner with management and other departments as necessary to drive the process improvement to provide superior service levels to internal or external customers
• Prepare reports, as necessary, to gain a deeper understanding of business successes and/or challenges, as well as, to communicate departmental performance to management as necessary.
• Meet with the department on a regular basis to share relevant business updates, or other information as necessary.
• Perform duties in compliance with applicable FDA and state regulations as well as standards including, but not limited to, ISO 13485.
• Performs other duties as assigned by management

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5+ year(s) related distribution or inventory control experience and/or training.
• Previous operational medical device experience
• Demonstrated proficiency in supervising and motivating subordinates in a team environment.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and creative problem solving. 
• Self-motivated with the ability to achieve desired results with minimal supervision.
• Proficient and accurate with Outlook, Great Plains, Word, and Excel.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to calculate figures, percentages and data.

Work Environment

This job is performed in a distribution/warehouse environment. 

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate with individuals internal and external to the organization. The employee frequently is required to move about the facility. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position which may require additional hours particularly at the end of the day to ensure orders are shipped.

Travel

No overnight travel required.  Position may require local travel between two buildings less than 2 miles apart.
