ERP Procurement Manager (SAP System) Canopy Growth
ERP Procurement Manager
Looking for an ERP Procurement Manager with experience in Procurement / Supply Chain/ Material Planning to join our growing team. Using the ERP, you will be responsible for the procurement and planning of raw materials and secondary services as needed to manufacture and produce finished goods. The Procurement Manager would work closely and communicates daily with the operations team to assist with production scheduling and to ensure on-time delivery.
This person would also assist with ERP deployments to new sites across the US, ensuring that procurement management processes are implemented and followed, master data is tracked and imported correctly into the ERP, standard operating procedures and work instructions are maintained and end users are trained and supported.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the ERP power user, point of contact with regards to supporting end users on procurement and material management modules and business processes.
- Assist with triaging any issues identified by the business, and work with IT and / or the ERP consultants to resolve those issues.
- Be a champion for procurement and planning management business processes
- Work with operations and other departments to manage the process with 3rdparty contract manufacturers and 3PL's
- Identify process and software improvements, and perform testing for any modifications / enhancements being made to the inventory management functionality in the ERP
- Train any end users on how to work with the procurement module in the ERP.
- Participate in Project Testing in Conference Room Pilots, where required.
- Ensure that suppliers and materials are set up correctly in the ERP
- Data cleansing - ensure master data definition is accurate and data is clean and validated prior to being imported into the ERP
- Maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) and work instructions
- Compile procurement and planning reports in the ERP
- Other duties as assigned
Experience
- A diploma/degree, plus 3-7 years IT experience in a manufacturing organization, or equivalent combination of education/procurement management/MRP/IT experience
- 5+ years' experience in purchasing, supply chain management, or logistics
- Demonstrated hands-on practical knowledge of procurement software; prior experience with an ERP
- Experience with Materials Resource Planning (MRP) in a manufacturing environment
- Experience working with a 3PL
- Experience with supplier qualifications
- Experience with change control using an ERP
- Involved in a tier 1 ERP implementation project would be an asset
- Strong analytical skills
- Process oriented
- Strong leadership & decision making skills
- Strong business acumen, and strategic thinking
- Continuous Improvement experience would be an asset
