Job Summary

Responsible to collect, maintain, monitor and report on aviation related equipment to ensure any and all necessary parts have immediate availability to support aircraft in-service rates. Reports into the Supply Chain team members and key business stakeholders.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities include the following:

  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of the aviation parts supply data (supplier & item master), to include aircraft related parts being stockable and non-stockable but available immediately through supplier
  • Responsible for verifying aircraft related components are in compliance with aviation, manufacturer, or company requirements for all levels of aviation maintenance, to include FAA, AD, SB, STC, PMA, IPC, MSM, AMM
  • Liaison between all other departments and service engineering to verify aircraft parts compatibility and compliance
  • Set up and maintain items for order transmission, to include tracking, obsolete, higher assemblies, repairable
  • Provide reporting on parts supply to include impactful metrics that will help drive the business
  • Review item inactivity reports
  • Resolve item record maintenance issues including formatting and loading errors
  • Support end user inquiries and communicate with key stakeholders related to item addition/edit status and deletion review
  • Provide analysis on report outputs, identify additional opportunities for savings, and identify “leakage”
  • Provide supplier performance metrics and analytic problem-solving support while working with stakeholders to help identify opportunities
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Additional Job Requirements

  • Regular scheduled attendance
  • Indicate the percentage of time spent traveling - 5%

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree (BS/BA) in Business from four-year college or university three to five years’ related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 2+ years’ experience with procurement/supply chain analysis, supplier performance management (may be concurrent with aviation experience)
  • 3+ years’ experience with aviation dealing with parts, and FAA regulations and requirements (may be concurrent with procurement experience)
  • Knowledge of FAA and FAR regulations required
  •  

Skills

  • Knowledge and experience with procurement/spend systems data and analysis
  • Demonstrates high critical thinking, reasoning skills, and strong attention to detail while working in a fast-paced environment that requires the ability to prioritize and multi-task
  • Expertise in research methods and report creation
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal
  •  

Computer Skills

  • Intermediate with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Proficiency in eProcurement tools (e.g., Coupa)
  • Enterprise resource planning (ERP) software systems experience required; Ramco experience preferred
  •  

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

  • Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License required
  • Inspection Authorization license preferred
  • Supply Chain-specific certifications preferred (e.g., APICS Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) or APICS Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP))
  • Lean and/or Six Sigma certification preferred
