Job Overview
The Supply Chain Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and managing the Supply Chain team to ensure the company's overall supply chain strategy and operations maximize efficiency and productivity.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties
- Supervises the Supply Chain team, including project assignments, day to day task assignments to ensure timely completion of department objectives, performance and time management.
- Train and teach other team members so that the group can grow
- Monitoring Raw Material, WIP and Finished Goods for materials availability, financial tracking, and in support of company stocking program. Responsible for generating Purchase Orders
- Monitoring the stocking programs and forecasts to ensure updates are made according to company guidelines
- Maximization of quality, minimization of costs, and support of department goals
- Driving change through improved organizational capability, providing leadership in recruiting, goal alignment, employee development, performance management and communication
- Analyzing short- and long-term manufacturing requirements and capabilities of the suppliers within the supply chain. Develop second source options as necessary
- Meets monthly with finance, purchasing and marketing to reach consensus on strategic and tactical revenue goals.
- Assist in the resolution of customer service and inventory issues
- Works with Accounts Payable as required resolving issues on suppliers’ invoices
- Perform duties in compliance with applicable FDA and state regulations as well as standards including, but not limited to, ISO 13485.
- Communicate issues to Manager and recommend action to ensure inventory and financial objectives are met
- Assist in the implementation of sound inventory procedures
- Other duties as assigned
Non – Essential Responsibilities and Duties
- Identify and analyze potential process improvement opportunities within supply chain.
- Responsible for running and analyzing weekly and ad hoc reporting
- Support the updating of all purchasing related SOP’s
- Develop tools to provide the organization with better visibility to product availability and costs
Qualifications
- Four-year Degree (B.S/B.A.) preferred or equivalent from four-year college or technical school or 2+ year(s) related forecasting and planning experience and/or training.
- APICS CSCP or CPIM certification preferred
- Prior supervision experience helpful
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and creative problem solving.
- Self-motivated with the ability to achieve desired results with minimal supervision.
- Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a team environment.
- Proficient and accurate with Outlook, Word, Excel.
- Experience working with detailed product line forecasts and familiarity with the sales and operations planning function.
- Ability to calculate figures, percentages and data.
Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position with typical business hours. It may reasonably require additional hours during the week and weekend; specific requirements will be determined with Manager. Occasional remote work may be allowed.
Travel
Less than 5% of overnight travel.
