Desired skills

Prior experience in warehousing and inventory management, forklift/powered industrial truck operation, shipping & receiving and material handling. Experienced with the operation of systems such as CMMS, SAP or Tririga. Inventory management database experience is highly desired.
Good interpersonal relationship skills desired. Candidate should be dependable, accurate, have strong attention to detail, and the ability to take initiative. In addition to standard warehouse and material handling activities the successful candidate must possess or obtain a Class B Commercial Driver License (CDL) within six months of starting the position.

Specific Job Description

Perform all facets of warehouse support functions to include inventory management & accountability, inventory computer database updates, inventory reconciliation, material retrieval, loading/unloading trucks & vehicles and work order closeout. Also performs shipping & receiving responsibilities to include: unloading shipments from cargo carriers/express companies, accepting & signing for deliveries, inspection of material and shipments for accuracy, damage and accountability against invoices or packing slips, updating and reconciliation of procurement computer data bases and performance of customer service requests. Preparation and proper packaging of outbound FedEx & UPS packages, shipments and database management. Perform as a team member of the Logistics Material Handling Crew supporting office, equipment and furniture moves/relocations throughout the facility and the Denver metro area. Perform conference room sets and resets and copier paper deliveries as needed. Perform off-site deliveries and pickups to/from vendors as necessary. Operate a classified paperwork destruct unit upon request. Operate electric, gas and manual powered forklifts, pallet jacks and other material handling equipment in support of material handling, warehousing, packaging, shipping & receiving functions. Performs other related duties and assignments as required.

This is a Service Contract Act, Occupational Code: 21050, Service Contract Act Title: Material Handling Laborer, position with a rate of $17.36 per hour.

Performs physical tasks to transport or store materials or merchandise. Duties involve one or more of the following: Manually loading or unloading freight cars, trucks, or other transporting devices; unpacking, shelving, or placing items in proper storage locations; or transporting goods by hand truck, cart, or wheelbarrow.

Excluded from this definition are workers whose primary function involves:

Participating directly in the production of goods (e.g., moving items from one production station to another or placing them on or removing them from the production process);
Stocking merchandise for sale;
Counting or routing merchandise;
Operating a crane or heavy-duty motorized vehicle such as forklift or truck;
Loading and unloading ships (longshore workers);
Traveling on trucks beyond the establishment's physical location to load or unload merchandise.
