Production Control Specialist

Position Details:
The Production Control Specialist develops material requirements plans, generates manufactured product routings, reviews job status, and evaluates progress on production work.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Regulate and optimize production flow in the manufacturing process from raw material to finished product.
- Utilize lean manufacturing principles to optimize production machines/cells to further improve production up-time, quality, and cost.
- Maintain inventory of materials and parts needed to complete production.
- Monitor work in progress (WIP) queues and analyze feedback from the shop floor to take corrective action as required.
- Monitor discrepant inventory and take corrective action as required.
- Assists in the development of Production and Inventory Control (PIC) programs policies and plans and assists in the implementation of approved systems
Education and Training
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience:
- Five years of production control experience in a low volume, high mix manufacturing environment.
Other:
- Must be willing to work overtime as required
- Travel up to 10% of working time.
Desired Job Qualification:
- ISO/AS quality system experience desired.
Work Authorization/Security Clearance
Must be able to work in the U.S without sponsorship. Ability to obtain US government security clearance is required.
