In this role, you will perform as a member of the Production Planning & Control team within the Space Electronics Center (SEC). You will collaborate with manufacturing and test technicians, supervision, engineering, and shop leadership supporting production to ensure a steady flow of circuit card, module, and electronic box hardware through the assembly and test process.
Summary of Key Duties for this position:
- You will drive, track and manage all work in process for a given product group to ensure on-time delivery of shop commitments
- You will work hand in hand with the Manufacturing and Test Supervision to ensure all jobs are being worked in the correct priority and to resolve any issues impacting work progress
- You will focus on driving resolution of all hardware on hold or at a stop with the appropriate supporting organizations (MRP, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality Engineering, Design Engineering and Program)
- Demonstrate a clear understanding of work in process and be able to clearly and effectively communicate status, issues and path forward plans to multiple levels of the organization (Shop Leadership, MFG Director, MFG VP)
- You will perform look ahead analysis to proactively manage potential upcoming conflicts and obstacles in order to minimize any impact to hardware delivery
- Identify process improvements that will prove to reduce production cost and improve schedule performance
- You will need to have the flexibility to support off-shift and weekend work schedules on a rotational basis
- You will have the opportunity to learn the technical aspects of the hardware we build as well as gain a solid understanding of both manufacturing and test process flows. This experience and knowledge will help you continue to build and develop your career foundation and has the potential to open the door into a production operations leadership role in the future
Typical Experience:
Specialized training in specific aspects of job functions and/or demonstrated ability to perform assigned tasks, and 6 or more years of experience.

Basic Qualifications:
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of Material Requirements Planning (MRP) theory and practices.
- Supply Chain Management experience (including at least one of the following: Production Planning & Control, Inventory Management, Manufacturing/Production Operations, Procurement or Logistics).
Desired Skills:
- Experience and detailed knowledge of SAP and VE CAMS
- Ability to work in a fast paced dynamic environment
- Proven ability to proactively identify and drive change
- Demonstrated experience communicating/briefing executives, leaders, and customers
- Understanding of circuit card assemblies, modules, boxes, and associated test equipment including thermal chambers, thermal vacuum chambers, and vibration tables
