You will perform as a member of a team in the role of Production Planning & Control Shop Floor control position within the Space Electronics Center (SEC). This role will require you to be organized with exceptional attention-to-detail skills. You will collaborate with manufacturing engineers, technicians, and other key essential team members supporting manufacturing to ensure a steady flow of circuit card, module, and electronic box hardware through the assembly and test process. Individuals in this role typically have 6 or more years of professional experience, are able to work independently, and are self-starters with the ability to think and be dedicated in their efforts. Working in this role, you will need to have the flexibility to support off-shift and weekend work schedules on a rotational basis.

Summary of Key Duties for this position:

• You will focus on driving resolution of all hardware on hold with appropriate supporting organizations (MRP, ME, QE, Program, Engineering, etc.).
• Drive, track, and manage all work in progress in the product group to ensure on-time delivery of shop commitments.
• You will work closely with your Manufacturing and Test Supervision counterparts to ensure all jobs are being worked and resolve and issues impacting work.
• Understand and own status of all work in progress; clearly and effectively communicate status to multiple levels of the organization (scheduling, MFG Director, MFG VP, etc.)
• You will perform look-ahead analysis to minimize upcoming conflicts and obstacles impacting work performance.
• Identify process improvements that will reduce production costs and improve schedule.
• Eliminate obstacles to assembly and test processes.
• You will learn the technical side of the hardware, manufacturing, and test process flows giving you the knowledge to help you continue in your career growth and development with the possibility to move into a production operation leadership role.

Typical Experience:
Specialized training in specific aspects of job functions and/or demonstrated ability to perform assigned tasks, and 6 or more years of experience.

Basic Qualifications:

• Solid understanding of Material Requirements Planning (MRP) theory and practices.
• Supply Chain Management experience (including one of the following: Production Planning and Control, Inventory Management, Manufacturing, Procurement or Logistics).

Desired Skills:

• Detailed knowledge and use of SAP and VE CAMS.
• Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
• Demonstrated ability to enthusiastically lead change.
• Demonstrated experience communicating/briefing managers, employees, and customers to maintain a sustainable working relationship.
• Understanding of circuit card assemblies, modules, boxes, and associated test equipment including thermal chambers, thermal vacuum chambers, and vibration tables.
